Gainesville, FL – February 20, 2025 – Arrow Group Vice President and Senior Advisor Ron Brisé moderated a panel at the Annual Public Utility Research Center Conference (PURC) hosted by the University of Florida Warrington College of Business. The multisector panel titled “Meeting Demand for Florida’s Future” discussed meeting the infrastructure demand for Florida for decades and beyond, accommodating Florida’s growth and ensuring that the electric, water, gas and telecom infrastructure is in place to grow at its current pace.
Ron also presented the inaugural Jack Shreve Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Consumer Advocacy in Florida’s Public Utility Industry to Charles Rehwinkel, Deputy Public Counsel of the Florida Office of Public Counsel.
For over 50 years, the annual PURC conference has served as a neutral forum for engaging dialogue about issues facing utility service providers, policymakers and regulatory agencies. The event is held every February in Gainesville, and it brings government officials, utility executives, industry leaders and academia together, primarily from Florida and the Southeast.
