Overview
Prior to the creation of Arrow Group, Albert served as the Managing Partner of Anfield Consulting for 14 years. During his time with Anfield, Albert advised clients across a swath of diverse industries. From business regulation, health care and human services, to land use, tourism, gaming, agriculture, tax policy and appropriations, Albert had a hand in shaping creative and effective solutions for Anfield clients. Through Albert’s leadership, Anfield grew to become one of the largest and highly respected firms in Florida advocacy. As a result of the partnership formed with co-founder Frank Bernardino, Anfield became the largest wholly Hispanic-owned lobbying firm in the state.
Prior to forming Anfield Consulting, Albert Balido served as the Chief Operating Officer of one of the top trade associations in the state with more than 3,000 consumer attorney members. During his time with the Florida Justice Association, he worked as a legislative and executive branch lobbyist while also heading up the FJA’s overall political and legislative operations.
Since 2002, Albert has served at the forefront of lobbying some of the most contentious legal issues on behalf of Florida consumers and helping the FJA accomplish many of its most important legislative victories. He has also worked for the Florida Medical Association as a lobbyist and political consultant, confronting some of the biggest issues facing today’s healthcare industry, including managed care and scope of professional practice issues.
As a staff member in the Florida House of Representatives for six years, Albert had direct involvement in the development of public policy on a wide scale, primarily focusing on healthcare, children and families, local government and budget issues.
Albert has a passion for giving back to the community and helping vulnerable communities. As a board member for the Little Havana Activities and Nutrition Centers of Dade County, he volunteers his time and helps raise money to provide low-income, frail, isolated elderly persons with quality social, nutrition, and health services, allowing them to continue living at home.
In his role at Arrow Group, Albert advises a wide range of clients, both public and private.
